About the player

Nigel Thomas came through the PSV Eindhoven academy, spending three seasons with the reserve side Jong PSV in the Eerste Divisie before leaving as a free agent for Paços de Ferreira. In his one season in Portugal he made 34 league appearances, a run of games that earned him a move to the Danish Superliga with Viborg FF. before he returned to the Netherlands to sign for ADO Den Haag on a free transfer. In his first season at the club he has already made close to 30 league appearances and scored four goals, wearing the number 27 shirt as a right-footed winger. Born in Rotterdam, Thomas holds dual Dutch and Curaçaoan nationality. He won caps at U15, U16 and U17 level, and was part of the Netherlands squad that won the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in 2018. He has since been included in a Curaçao preliminary squad for the CONCACAF Gold Cup, though a senior debut for either country has yet to follow.
