Amora

The finest run Amora ever put together started with promotion in 1979–80, when they took the Segunda Divisão Southern Zone title and went up to the Primeira Liga for the first time. They stayed there three seasons running. The season before that had been managed by Félix Mourinho, father of José Mourinho.

The rest of the honours board is built on regional and lower-division silverware — a second Segunda Divisão Southern Zone crown in 1993–94, the Terceira Divisão in 2000–01, four AF Setúbal First Division titles between 1953–54 and 1968–69, and the AF Setúbal Cup in 2011–12.

Carlitos began his senior career at the club before going on to play for the Portugal national team, and the reserve side once had Geny Catamo in its ranks before Sporting CP came for him. Ownership changed hands in 2020, when Mozambican investor Zuneid Sidat sold the club's SAD to the American investment group America Soccer for €350,000.

Amora's derby is against Seixal, the neighbouring club now known as Seixal 1925. Home games are played at the Estádio da Medideira, in the parish of Amora, in the municipality of Seixal, on the south bank across the river from Lisbon.
