Final Spor

The Turkish Basketball Federation Cup title of 2019 did not come easily: Final Spor beat Petkimspor 97-95 in the final, held away from home at the Eskişehir Technical University Sports Hall, to secure the only major trophy in the club's history.

The club grew out of Final Okulları, a private education group in Bursa, and still carries the school's name and backing. The Turkish Basketball Federation lists 2006 as the founding year, though the club's own account of its history points to the following season, when Ali Özbay put together the first team roster. İhsan Özen has led the club as president.

Final Spor plays in the Türkiye Basketbol Ligi, the second tier of the domestic game, and has yet to reach the top-flight Basketbol Süper Ligi. Matches are held at the Naim Süleymanoğlu Spor Kompleksi in the Yıldırım district, a ground that holds 2,500. The team takes the pitch in red and navy blue, a combination that has also earned it the nickname "Kırmızı-Beyazlılar" among local media, even where it does not quite match the actual colours.

Bursa's big basketball rivalry runs between Tofaş and Frutti Extra Bursaspor, and Final Spor sits outside that fixture, even when its results touch both sides. Among those who have worn the shirt, Lace Darius Dunn stands out as the more recognised name to pass through the roster. The club runs its own youth academy, but none of its graduates have yet broken into the Süper Lig or the national team.
