Jiangxi Liansheng

The club began as a company side. The Liansheng group put together an amateur team in Jiujiang in 2008, and for its first years it played at that level, finishing second in the China Amateur Football League in 2011. It has changed names since — Jiangxi Lushan, then, from 2021, Jiangxi Beidamen, the Northern Gate of Jiangxi — and it is based in Ruichang, a city in Jiangxi province.

In 2014 it reached the final of China League Two and beat Taiyuan Zhongyou Jiayi 2–0, which carried it up into League One. In the same year it knocked a Chinese Super League side out of the third round of the CFA Cup and went through to the last 32. Cup entries in the years since have ended in the first, second or third round.

Home matches are played at the Jiujiang Sports Centre Stadium, which holds 31,700 and in a different city from the one it now calls home.
