Lynx grew out of Liberec in 2016 with no senior pedigree to lean on, so the club built one from the bottom up. Promotion came in 2021/22, and the step up did not slow them down: in their very first season in the 1. Liga, in the West group, they finished top again. A 12th-place season followed, then 7th, then a runner-up finish in 2025/26.

Dušan Bohunický took over as head coach in August 2024, arriving with a playing career behind him and international experience with Slovakia; his staff includes Richard Leško, another Slovak international who also coaches the country's under-20 side. Between them they run a club that stretches from the first team down to under-6s, an academy structure that outsizes most rivals at this level.

Home games are played at the Sportovní hala Kort on Jeronýmova street in the Horní Růžodol district, a hall that seats 60. It is a number that says plainly what kind of club this still is: built on a youth pipeline and a local rivalry, in a gym rather than an arena, in a city that has room for more than one basketball team.
