Dragoș Huiban scored the goals that took them up.

The badge on the shirt reads 1923, but that is the year the factory was founded, under Baron Manfred Weiss, not the football side. By 2008 there was no senior team left, only an U19 side carrying the name forward.

Rebuilding started from Liga IV in 2008/09. Promotion out of it came in 2010/11, then Liga III was won in 2016/17, taking Metaloglobus into Liga II for the first time.

Home games are played at Stadionul Metaloglobus, officially 1,000 capacity, with Clinceni used when a bigger ground is needed.
