Fourteenth place after 11 rounds of the First Division tells most of the story of Yelimay Semey 2 this season.

The team only came into being in 2023, built as a farm side once Yelimay's senior club was revived in 2022. It spent its first season in the Second League before moving up to the First Division in 2024. There is no separate badge for the reserve team; it plays under Yelimay's own colours, yellow shirts with blue shorts and socks at home, and shares the senior club's training base rather than building its own.
