About the player
Davo won the Segunda División B with UD Ibiza in the 2020–2021 season. Antonio David Álvarez Rey, from Vilariño in the municipality of Pereiro de Aguiar, began in the reserve sides of Real Avilés and Real Oviedo. He then moved through UP Langreo, Deportivo Cañizal and Zamora CF.
Three clubs took him back. He played for Real Oviedo B in 2013 and again from 2016 to 2017. He was at UP Langreo in 2013–2014 and once more in 2019–2020, and at Zamora CF in 2015–2016 and again in 2018–2019. Between those spells came Rápido de Bouzas and Cerceda. He stayed at Ibiza until 2022.
The Segunda División B title with Ibiza led to his first spell abroad. Wisła Płock signed him on a free transfer in 2022. In 2023 KAS Eupen paid €0.6m for him, and the same year he returned to Spain with Deportivo de La Coruña. Deportivo took him first on loan and then bought him for €0.3m. He stayed there until 2025.
His last move before Penafiel was a loan to Real Murcia in 2025. He joined Penafiel in August of that year on a free transfer. He is a right-footed forward who also plays on the left wing.
