Erik Majetschak

Erik Majetschak grew up in Bad Lausick and came through RB Leipzig's academy, having arrived there in 2010 by way of 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig and Bornaer SV. He signed his first professional contract at Leipzig in August 2018 and made his competitive debut that same day in the Europa League against BK Häcken. He moved on a free transfer to FC Erzgebirge Aue in the summer of 2019.

Over seven seasons in Saxony, across the 2. Bundesliga and 3. Liga, Majetschak made 131 league appearances and scored seven goals as a defensive midfielder. The clearest of those came against Borussia Dortmund II in April 2024, when he struck a stoppage-time equaliser deep into the fifth added minute to deny Aue an eleventh straight league defeat. This summer he left on a free transfer for SSV Jahn Regensburg, signing until 2028.

At youth level, Majetschak was capped 29 times for Germany across the U15 to U18 age groups, scoring six goals. He captained the U17s at the 2017 European Under-17 Championship in Croatia, where he was named in the Team of the Group Stage for match day two, and he also played at the U-17 World Cup in India that year. He has not featured for the senior national team.
