About the player
Mads Døhr Thychosen is now tied to AIK until December 2027. That is two years longer than the contract he signed in Stockholm in June 2023.
That CV started early. He came through the academies of Vinding SF and Vejle BK, and made his senior debut for Vejle in 2013. He moved to FC Midtjylland in 2014. In 2017 he went on loan to AC Horsens and played 17 times.
In 2019 he joined FC Nordsjælland, where he stayed until 2022. He then returned to Midtjylland in January of that year, which lasted until AIK signed him.
By July 2026 he had made 75 appearances for AIK and scored six goals, a return that stands out for a full-back.
At AIK he plays right-back, the position he has held since arriving from Denmark.
