Curt William Jacob Kenndal

William Kenndal was part of the IFK Värnamo squad that won the Superettan in 2021, which took the club into the Allsvenskan for the first time in its history. He had arrived the December before on a free transfer, after a spell at Lindome GIF, and he was there for the whole of that climb.

The route to that point was a long one. Kenndal joined the youth academy at Qviding FIF at the age of six and stayed until 2012. He made his senior debut the following year and spent five seasons in Division 1, making 79 appearances and scoring six goals.

He then moved on almost every winter. Sollentuna FK came in January 2018, Utsiktens BK in January 2019 and Lindome GIF in February 2020. He played 28, 27 and 27 games for them respectively, and scored two, one and two goals. Each move was a free one.

At Värnamo he reached the top flight. His Allsvenskan debut came on 3 April 2022, a season after the promotion he had helped win. He played 61 matches for the club without scoring.

Kenndal left Värnamo in August 2024 and is now with Örgryte IS, another Gothenburg-based club with a long history of its own.
