About the player
Xavier Dziekoński made his Ekstraklasa debut for Jagiellonia Białystok on 15 July 2020 against Śląsk Wrocław, aged just 16. The following February he was named Ekstraklasa Young Player of the Month, only the third goalkeeper in the league's history to receive the award. The 2021/22 season proved harder: a run of errors and mounting pressure cost him his place in the side.
A move to Raków Częstochowa followed in July 2022, for a fee of around €150,000. He was loaned out twice to find it — first to Garbarnia Kraków in January 2023, where he made 15 appearances in the II liga, then to Korona Kielce that June. At Korona, he made 29 league appearances in 2023/24 and helped the club steer clear of relegation, exercising a buy option in June 2024 and tying him down until 2027.
He started the 2024/25 season in goal but lost his place to Rafał Mamla after the winter break. He regained the starting spot for 2025/26 and played all 34 league games — form recognised with the Ekstraklasa Goalkeeper of the Season award.
Dziekoński has also represented Poland at Under-21 level, with two caps since his debut in 2021.
