The opening half belonged to the hosts, who took control after a penalty decision at the 18th minute. Referee awarded the spot-kick following a VAR check, and Mariusz Stępiński stepped up to fire home at the 20th minute. Camilo Mena then doubled the lead with a well-taken goal at 33 minutes, putting the home side firmly in command.
By then Raków had begun to find their feet, though their possession advantage meant little without penetration. The visitors pulled one back through Lamine Diaby Fadiga at 58 minutes, and a second penalty at 62 minutes gave Stępiński his brace, restoring a two-goal cushion for Korona.

The second half saw both managers shuffle their pack, with six substitutions made between the 67th and 80th minutes. Raków finally broke through at 82 minutes when Bogdan Mircetic scored to set up a tense finish, but Korona held firm despite a late yellow card for the Serbian forward.
The result means Korona move closer to European contention, while Raków's struggles continue. Eight defeats from nine games leaves them looking increasingly precarious, and this defeat extends a run that has seen them lose four of their last five matches.
