Cucuta Deportivo and Deportivo Pasto played to a 2-2 draw in the Clausura ninth round at Estadio General Santander on Friday evening. The result left the hosts rooted to nineteenth place on 16 points while Pasto remained third with 34. Neither side gained much from a game that swung between phases.
Patrick Preciado opened the scoring in the fourteenth minute and Carlos Renteria doubled the advantage two minutes later. By then the visitors were already showing signs of unease — Renteria picked up a yellow card in the nineteenth minute and Cucuta managed to hold on. To be fair, the home side had earned their lead through sustained pressure rather than luck.
