Bruno Melo

He came through the youth ranks at Fortaleza, making his senior debut there in 2011, and over the following years was sent out on loan to a string of lower-division sides — Maracanã, Quixadá, Paracuru, Nova Russas and Uniclinic — before returning to Fortaleza.

Once back, he became a fixture in the side that climbed through the divisions, helping Fortaleza win promotion from the Série C in 2017 and from the Série B in 2018. He collected five Campeonato Cearense titles along the way, in 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020 and 2021, and added the Copa do Nordeste in 2019.

In 2022 he was loaned to Corinthians, where he made 13 appearances, before a second loan spell at Goiás produced 54 appearances, six goals and a Copa Verde title in 2023. He then joined Coritiba on loan for the 2024 season, contributing 44 appearances and four goals, and that spell was made permanent in December 2024 when Coritiba paid Fortaleza R$ 3.5 million for him on a two-year deal.

At Coritiba he was part of the squad that won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B in 2025, sealing promotion to the Série A. By August 2026 he had made 100 appearances for the club, putting him among a small group of current squad members to reach that mark.
