About the player
Ênio arrived at Chapecoense on loan from Juventude in 2026 from Belém, Pará. His career began at Botafogo, where he came through the academy and reached the first team, making 16 league appearances and scoring one goal between 2020 and 2023. That spell brought his first honour, as part of the squad that won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B in 2021.
In 2022 Botafogo sent him on loan to Belgium with RWDM, but the move did not work out as planned: he never featured for the first team, playing only for the under-21 side before returning to Brazil without a permanent transfer.
Back in Brazil, Ênio rebuilt his career away from the traditional strongholds of the game. He made 36 appearances and scored two goals for Amazonas in 2024. That run of form led to his transfer to Juventude in 2025, where he became a fixture in the side, making 35 appearances and scoring four goals. His loan to Chapecoense in 2026 has so far brought five appearances. Ênio was called up to train with Brazil's under-17 squad in 2019 but was not included in the final list for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, and he has not represented the national team at any level since.
