PKKU

Kerava sits north of Helsinki, one of three towns—alongside Järvenpää and Tuusula—that make up the Keski-Uusimaa region. Pallokerho Keski-Uusimaa formed on 30 November 2005, when the region's youth talent, previously split between JäPS, KP-75 and TuPS, was pooled into one side. Locals call it Kerho.

The team plays home matches at Kalevan urheilupuisto in Kerava, an artificial pitch holding up to 2,500, though bigger occasions move to Hyrylän urheilukeskus in Tuusula, where grass and a 3,000 capacity give the club more room. Red and black shirts at home, white on the road.

PKKU has never troubled Finland's top table, and its history is measured in near misses rather than trophies. In 2015 the club reached the semi-final of the Suomen Cup before KuPS ended the run 4-0. Three years earlier, in 2012, PKKU went all the way to the final of the UEFA Regions Cup and lost there too, the same year three regional cup finals also went the other way. In Ykkönen, the second tier, 8th place in 2024 and again in 2025 stands as the club's best league finish; the women's side twice finished runner-up in the same division before a single season in Kansallinen Liiga in 2024 ended in relegation.

What Keski-Uusimaa built instead was a pipeline. Santeri Hostikka came through the club's ranks before moving on to HJK, Lahti, Pogoń Szczecin and Ümraniyespor.
