BBL Trophy (United Kingdom) 2025/26

The BBL Trophy, currently known as the Super League Basketball Trophy, is a domestic knockout cup competition for men's basketball in Great Britain. Founded in 1987 by the newly formed British Basketball League administration, the tournament replaced the British Masters Cup. It operates alongside the league season and the end-of-season championship knockout, but distinguishes itself through its participation model.

While the playoffs are restricted to top teams from the league, the Trophy has historically included all member clubs and invited teams from lower divisions, such as the National Basketball League and the Scottish Basketball Championship. This structure ensures a broader field than the primary league title race. The format has evolved over time; recent editions under the Super League Basketball entity have utilised a group stage followed by knockout semi-finals and a final. There is no promotion or relegation associated with the competition, as it functions as a standalone cup.

The Cheshire Phoenix, including their history as the Chester Jets, hold the record for the most titles with six victories. Their successes span two distinct eras: four consecutive wins between 2000 and 2004, and two more recent triumphs in 2022 and 2024. The Leicester Riders follow with three titles, won in consecutive years from 2015 to 2018. The London Lions are the current holders, having secured the 2024–25 edition by defeating the Bristol Flyers. The competition name has changed several times due to sponsorship, including the NatWest Trophy and the 7 Up Trophy, before reverting to the BBL Trophy. The British Basketball League organisation ceased operations in July 2024, with Super League Basketball taking over the continuation of the event.
