WBBL Cup (United Kingdom) 2025/26

The WBBL Cup was established in the 2016–17 season as a secondary domestic knockout competition within the Women's British Basketball League (WBBL). It operates alongside the WBBL Trophy, serving as the primary early-season tournament for the top-tier women's league in Great Britain. Unlike the later-season trophy which follows a straight knockout format, the Cup is distinguished by its timing and structure. It typically begins in September with a group stage divided into geographical pools. Winners from each group advance to semi-finals and a final, which are held during a Final Four weekend in January. This concluding event is often presented as a double-header with the men's BBL Cup final at a neutral venue, such as the Utilita Arena Birmingham.

History and winners

The inaugural edition of the competition was won by Manchester Mystics. Subsequent titles were claimed by Nottingham Wildcats in 2017–18 and Sheffield Hatters in 2018–19. Leicester Riders secured the trophy in 2020–21, while London Lions hold the record for the most titles, winning in 2021–22 and 2022–23. The 2023–24 title was awarded to Leicester Riders Women. Following the rebranding of the league to Super League Basketball for the 2024–25 season, the competition is now known as the SLB Cup. Oaklands Wolves Women won the latest title by defeating Sheffield Hatters Women 65–51 in the final. The league is governed by Basketball England, with headquarters located in Leicester.
