The Nottingham Wildcats Arena , also known as the Jesse Boot Wildcats Arena, stands on Greenwood Road in Sneinton and has 220 seats. The Jesse Boot Community Basketball & Sports Trust Ltd. developed it in 2001. It is the home of the women's side and of the wider Wildcats organisation, which describes the women's section as the biggest women's basketball club in the city.
The women's team dates from 1976, which makes it one of the oldest women's basketball clubs in England. That changed in 2014, when the Women's British Basketball League (WBBL) was established and the Wildcats were among its founder members.
The results came quickly. The Wildcats reached the WBBL Playoff Final in 2015 and lost. They reached it again in 2016 and lost again. In 2017 they reached it a third time in a row and won it. That was the second of two league championships, following the 2015-16 title, so the club had won the regular-season table before it had won the play-off.
