The Ukrainian Basketball Cup stands as the premier annual knockout basketball competition in Ukraine. Organised by the Basketball Federation of Ukraine (FBU), the tournament sits alongside the Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague (USL), which crowns the national champion through a regular season and playoffs. The Cup offers a secondary domestic trophy decided by a knockout format, culminating in a "Final Four" weekend.
The competition was founded in 1992, with the inaugural final held in June 1993. The current format involves a preliminary stage where teams are divided into groups for mini-tournaments held in different cities. This is followed by quarterfinals and the Final Four. Recent editions featured 12 teams in the first stage. There is no promotion or relegation associated with the Cup itself.
BC Dnipro is the most successful club in the competition's history. According to the Ukrainian Wikipedia, Dnipro has won six titles. BC Azovmash holds the second-most titles with five wins. BC Budivelnyk has won four times. The current champion is Kyiv-Basket, who won the 2025–26 edition. The competition was not held in the 2021–22 and 2022–23 seasons due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The winner historically qualified for European competitions, such as the FIBA Europe Cup or Basketball Champions League. However, due to the ongoing war and FIBA regulations, Ukrainian clubs have been excluded from European competitions in the 2025–26 and 2026–27 seasons. The competition has had title sponsors, such as the FreezeOil Fund in 2016/17, but has retained its official name.
