ESPN's Anthony Slater says Golden State will offer the 38-year-old a maximum two-year extension worth $136.7m without a discount, while preserving cap flexibility.

Golden State are set to give Stephen Curry a maximum contract extension worth $136.7m over two years at full value, according to ESPN's Anthony Slater, who discussed the deal on 95.7 The Game.

Curry is 38 and has one season left on his current deal. Slater said the Warriors will hold on to financial flexibility even after committing that sum to Curry.

Two large contracts come off the books in 2027: Jimmy Butler's $56.8m and Draymond Green's $27.7m. Kristaps Porzingis holds a $20m player option for that year. Those figures give Golden State room to work with even as Curry's extension takes effect.

If the extension goes through as described, it would unlock significant cap space.
