Payton Pritchard Eyes $22m Extension with Celtics
Boston reporter Gary Washburn says Pritchard, who can sign a new deal from October 1, has earned a contract worth around $22 million a season.
"Payton is next in line if we're talking about extensions. And he strikes me as one of the best-value, most successful assets. He's earning $7.7m this year, $8.3m in the 2027-28 season. Payton is in line for an extension worth around $22m a year. That may depend on how he performs this season, but I also think he has shown enough for the club to give him that $22m a season. In today's NBA that's still a very good contract to trade," said Washburn.
Pritchard, 28, can sign a new deal from 1 October. Last season he posted career highs across the board, averaging 17.0 points, 5.2 assists and 3.9 rebounds a game.
