Sahvir Wheeler to Miss London Invitational for Zalgiris
Zalgiris' new guard Sahvir Wheeler will sit out several weeks with a hamstring injury, ruling him out of the London tournament and possibly EuroLeague's opening round.
Wheeler will miss all of it.
Their EuroLeague campaign starts on 24 September away to Crvena Zvezda.
No return date has been given for Wheeler. If the lay-off runs the full length of the timeline reported, he would be back in contention in time for the early EuroLeague fixtures, though Kaunas will have to manage the backcourt without him for the London tournament and possibly the start of the European season.
