Neemias Queta Welcomes Mitchell Robinson to Celtics
Queta says he's relieved his rebounding rival Robinson is now a teammate, even as the Celtics newcomer puts his starting spot in question.
Neemias Queta says he is happy to swap sides with Mitchell Robinson rather than face him.
"Who starts is a question for Joe Mazzulla. I'm just welcoming a new teammate. Mitchell will be a great addition for us. I'm very glad I won't have to play against him any more, because he always used to grab the rebounds. It's good that he'll be on our side now," Queta said.
Boston signed Robinson over the summer, and his arrival puts Queta's starting spot in question for the first time since he became a regular starter. Queta, 27, played 76 games last season, averaging 10.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks, and in July signed a four-year, $56m extension with the Celtics.
He said he spent the off-season working on his offensive game. "I worked on different aspects of my game, tried to become more versatile and make better decisions with the ball — whether that's passing or creating my own shot," Queta said.
