Jean Montero visa issue delays Olympiacos ahead of Super Cup

Olympiacos guard Jean Montero missed training after a visa problem kept him from flying to Abu Dhabi with his team-mates for the EuroLeague Super Cup.

Jean Montero flew out to Abu Dhabi separately from the rest of Olympiacos ahead of the first EuroLeague Super Cup, held up by a visa problem, SDNA reports.

The rest of the squad landed in the UAE on the evening of 16 September. The 23-year-old Dominican point guard could not travel with his team-mates and missed training as a result.

Montero is expected to join the group within hours.

Olympiacos open the tournament on 18 September against Fenerbahce, the first semi-final, at the Etihad Arena.
