Cody Miller-McIntyre moved to Olympiacos from Crvena Zvezda this summer, and he has been open about how long the switch had been on the table.
"A few years ago, my agent and I discussed which teams I wanted to play for, and Olympiacos was among them. Leaving Crvena Zvezda was hard. But the connection between the two clubs helps me keep my relationship and love for Serbia, the club, the management, the organisation and the fans. I followed Olympiacos for many years, so I understand their system, but it's different when you're the one fitting into it. You have to adapt your own style, but also try to keep it. It takes time to learn your teammates' favourite spots on the floor, how they prefer to score. The combinations, the main players involved in them. Reading the moment. Understanding personalities — who needs touches, who needs to get going, who has caught fire. It comes easier in year two or three. Bartzokas is brilliant. Very passionate about basketball, but a very calm guy himself. Of course, everything changes once the game starts. He switches, and I like that. That's how it should be — I'm the same way," the guard said.
