G-League Select beat RSSB Tigers 114-95 in the semi-finals of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup in Beijing, with Cristian Quinones scoring 29 points to lead the way. Marcus Wheeler added 24 and Terrance Dixon 16.
The RSSB Tigers were level after the first quarter, 30-31, but faded from there. Quarters went 23-25 and then 17-30 as G-League Select pulled clear, before a 25-28 fourth confirmed the result. In the other semi-final, Rytas held off Boca Juniors 77-70. The Lithuanian side trailed 11-16 after the first quarter and 22-24 at half-time, then took control with a 17-18 third and a 27-12 fourth. Zach Devoe top-scored with 14, Deividas Marčiulionis added 14 points and 6 rebounds, and Egidijus Brunkė contributed 10. Trevon Warren led Boca Juniors with 16, and Lema had 12 points and 6 rebounds.
RSSB RSSB Tigers, playing out of the 10,000-seat BK Arena and founded in 2019, arrived in Beijing already toiling — Rytas beat them 107-89 in the group stage on 22 September and they also faced Shanghai Sharks in Group A. Domestically, the club sit top of the BAL table despite taking no points from five matches this season.
Rytas now go through unbeaten across the tournament, having also put 107 points past Shanghai in the group phase. In the 5th-6th place match, Beijing beat Shanghai 101-87.
