Ja Morant Open to Bench Role With Portland
Ja Morant says winning matters more than starting as he settles into Portland ahead of the season, after starting all but two of his 327 games with Memphis.
Ja Morant said coming off the bench is not a problem for him at Portland, with the team's opening night still weeks away.
The point guard has started 325 of his 327 regular-season appearances over seven seasons, both spent with Memphis. Portland signed him this off-season, and head coach Chauncey Billups has not yet said how he plans to use him alongside the rest of the backcourt.
