Aurélio Gabriel Ulineia Buta

Aurélio Buta arrived at Eintracht Frankfurt as a free agent on 1 July 2022, signing a four-year contract that runs until 2026, having spent the previous four seasons establishing himself at Royal Antwerp. That move to Belgium began as a loan from Benfica B in August 2017 and turned permanent in July 2018; over 90 appearances for Antwerp, he helped the club win the Belgian Cup in the 2019–20 season. Before that, Buta had come through Benfica's system, playing 29 games and scoring twice for the reserve side in LigaPro between 2016 and 2018.

Born in Miconge, in Angola's Cabinda province, Buta holds Portuguese nationality and represented Portugal at youth level, earning a place in the Team of the Tournament at the 2016 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. More recently, he has drawn interest from the Angola senior national team.

In August 2024, Frankfurt sent Buta on loan to Stade de Reims for the 2024–25 season, with an option to buy attached. He reached the final of the Coupe de France with the French club that season, finishing as a runner-up. Reims did not take up the option once the loan expired on 30 June 2025, and Buta returned to Frankfurt.

A right-footed defender who operates as a right-back or right wing-back, his playing style has been shaped by the different environments he has passed through, from Portugal's academy football to the physical demands of the Belgian and French top flights.
