About the player
Erick Noriega was born in Nagoya, in Japan's Aichi prefecture, to Peruvian parents. He started out in the youth ranks of Academia César Vallejo and Alianza Lima in Peru, then went back to Japan in 2016 to join Shimizu S-Pulse's academy. His senior debut came on loan at FC Machida Zelvia in 2020, and he then played for Shimizu itself in 2021. A move to SV Straelen in 2022 fell through over visa issues, sending him back to Peru the following year.
He played for Universidad de San Martín in the second division, then Comerciantes Unidos in Liga 1, before Alianza Lima signed him in 2024. There he became a regular, making 37 league appearances and scoring three goals.
Grêmio announced his signing from Alianza Lima on 21 August 2025, paying around US$2 million for 80% of his economic rights.
