About the player
Kansas City Current signed Janna Paul in December 2025, and the forward made her professional debut on 14 March 2026 as a substitute in a win over Utah Royals. At Alabama, she finished as the Crimson Tide's all-time leading scorer, with 40 goals and 94 points across 90 games between 2022 and 2025.
The path to that record began at Walt Whitman High School in New York before she joined Alabama in 2022, where she was named SEC Freshman of the Year in her first season. She went on to collect three First-Team All-SEC selections between 2023 and 2025, after a Second-Team nod as a freshman, and was twice named to the United Soccer Coaches Fourth-Team All-America roster, in 2024 and 2025. She was also recognised as a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American.
Paul kept a foot in the professional game throughout her college years, turning out for the Long Island Rough Riders in the USL W League across the 2024 and 2025 seasons, where she scored 14 goals in 13 appearances.
