Jane Campbell

Jane Campbell has spent her entire professional career at one club. Houston Dash took her fifteenth overall in the 2017 NWSL College Draft, where she had started in goal for four seasons, made 35 career shutouts and was named an NSCAA All-American in her final year. Since then she has not moved, extending her stay in June 2024 with a four-year contract that runs through the 2027 season and carries a club option for 2028.

The 2023 season marked the peak of her club form. She led the league in saves, with 91, and in goals-against average, at 0.83, and was named NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year and to the Best XI First Team. She went further the following year, setting a single-season saves record with 113 and tying the league's single-game save record with 12 stops against Kansas City Current. In 2021 she broke the club's own appearance record.

Her senior international career has moved more slowly. Campbell made her USWNT debut against Russia in 2017 and has earned ten caps since. She travelled to the Tokyo Olympics as an alternate before being promoted to the active roster once the tournament expanded its squad sizes, and came away with a bronze medal without playing a match. She was named to the winning squads at the 2024 SheBelieves Cup and the CONCACAF W Gold Cup, though at the Paris Olympics that year she again served as an alternate, this time without a medal.
