Meyla Brewer

Meila Brewer became the youngest student-athlete in UCLA history when she joined the Bruins in 2025 at 16, making nine appearances, eight of them starts, for the college programme. Her season was interrupted by international call-ups, including a run to the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, where she started all four matches for the United States.

Brewer's path to that stage ran through KC Athletics in the ECNL, where she picked up All-Conference honours and was named club player of the year. She struck the stoppage-time goal that sealed a 3–0 win over Mexico in the 2024 CONCACAF Girls' U-15 Championship final, and went on to win the 2025 4 Nations Tournament with the U.S. U-17s. Across the U-15, U-16 and U-17 age groups she has scored six goals for her country, including one in nine appearances at U-17 level.

She turned professional on 22 December 2025, signing a three-year deal with Kansas City Current as a free agent, though she did not make a competitive first-team appearance for the club before the contract was mutually terminated on 2 September 2026. A week later, on 9 September 2026, she signed an eighteen-month contract with Dallas Trinity FC in the USL Super League.
