The climb had been built step by step rather than in one rush: the Aksaray 1. Amatör Lig in 2015–16 opened the door to the Regional Amateur League, that group came in 2018–19, and only then did the TFF 3. Lig title arrive in 2022–23.

Two seasons in the TFF 2. Lig Kırmızı Group followed, and the second of them ended with third place and a playoff run that fell short of promotion, sending the Aksaray Hawks back down to the 3. Lig for 2025–26. A cup run the previous season had already hinted at the club's ceiling: a run to the fourth round of the Turkish Cup.

Black and white have been the club's colours since its founding in 2009, and for years its clearest rivalry ran across town against 68 Yeni Aksarayspor, in fixtures known locally as the Aksaray Derbisi — a derby that ended when the other side folded in 2016.
