Andelfingen

The only silverware in the club's history came on 22 March 2014, when Andelfingen beat HC Rover Wittenbach 25–24 in the final to lift the HRV Ost Cup.

The club began life in 1971 as the handball section of TV Andelfingen, the town's gymnastics club, and split off on its own on 23 August 1996 once the two sides' sporting aims no longer matched. For years it had no ground to call its own; that ended in 2004 with the opening of the Sporthalle Andelfingen, which the players know as the Löwenkäfig, the Lion's Cage, a nod to the "Löwen" nickname.

Andelfingen reached the 1. Liga, the third tier of Swiss handball, in 2018 and stayed there until around 2021. Pfadi Winterthur, the bigger neighbour, is the club's natural rival, though the two have also exchanged players over the years; Andelfingen's own youth and women's set-ups run jointly with HC Neftenbach and HC Stammheim under the SG Wyland banner.

Paddy Kälin, better known to Swiss audiences as a television sports presenter, coached the men's side through that 2014 cup run and was later given a Swiss Handball Award for it.
