«Cardinals»
The 1947 championship stands apart from the rest of the club's honours because of who won it. Violet Bidwill owned the Cardinals that season, and her team beat the Philadelphia Eagles 28–21 in the first championship game ever settled on the field rather than by league vote. The other title, in 1925, carries no such story: the league awarded it after the Pottsville Maroons were suspended for breaking its rules.
Between those two championships and the present sits one Super Bowl appearance, a 27–23 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII after the 2008 season.
The roster of Hall of Famers runs from Jim Thorpe to Larry Fitzgerald, but Kurt Warner's spell with the club is the one worth pausing on.
State Farm Stadium in Glendale seats 63,400 and can be pushed to 72,200 for the games that need it.
None of that was in view in 1898, when the franchise began life in Chicago as the Morgan Athletic Club.
