The club plays in yellow and blue at the Sala Sporturilor „Dumitru Popescu Colibași", a hall that holds 1,700.
The team's best years came twice, a generation apart. Under Remus Drăgănescu it took the league and the Romanian Cup in 1981. A young Cristina Neagu was on the roster either side of that title. Two years later Corona reached the final of the EHF Cup Winners' Cup and lost to Larvik HK.
That run of relevance broke in 2019–2020, when a doping case built around intravenous laser therapy got the club thrown out of competition and sent down to Divizia A. It took until the 2023–2024 season to come back up to the Liga Națională.
