Dijon sits in the middle of Burgundy, played out at the Palais des sports Jean-Michel-Geoffroy. What is now JDA Bourgogne Dijon Handball began there in 1996, when Michel Amico, François Bizeau and Yves Remond split the women's section away from CSL Dijon and gave it a life of its own.

A bronze medal in the EHF European League in 2023-24 suggested the club had caught up with itself.

It arrived on 17 May 2026, in front of its own crowd, when Dijon beat Thüringer HC 29-25 to win the EHF European League Women — the club's first European title, with Adriana Holejová named MVP of the final.
