Chambray Touraine Women

That merger dates to 2006, when the Chambray sports club, whose men's section had played handball since 1994, joined forces with the women's team from Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire. The women's side broke away as its own entity in May 2010 and took the name Chambray Touraine Handball. Within four years it had climbed from National 3 to Division 2, then reached the top flight, Ligue Butagaz Énergie, in 2016 on the back of a runner-up finish in Division 2 that spring.

The club has stayed there since, without silverware but with a steady improvement in league position: fourth in 2022–23, fourth again in 2024–25, then third in 2025–26, its best finish yet. That season also brought a second Coupe de France semi-final, four years after the first, in 2021–22, the same campaign in which Chambray first qualified for European competition. Camille Comte took over as head coach for 2025–26, succeeding Mathieu Lanfranchi.
