Mulhouse

The Mustangs of the 2025-26 season carry a name barely a year old, borrowed from Pfastatt's coat of arms. In 2008 the old FC Mulhouse Basket went bankrupt and dropped out of the professional ranks into Prénationale. A decade later, in 2018, the club went through judicial reorganisation again and merged with ASSM Pfastatt, becoming Mulhouse Pfastatt Basket. Two renamings followed within seven years: Mulhouse Basket Agglomération in 2020, then Mulhouse Mustangs in 2025.

Under the old identity, the club won the French Pro B title in 1977-78 and lifted the Tournoi des As, the French league cup, in 1989. As Mulhouse Pfastatt Basket, it added the Coupe de France Trophy in 2019.

Frank Kuhn has coached the side since 2024, working out of the Palais des Sports, known locally as Salle Marcel Tschanz, which holds 3,700. The red, black and white kit dates only to 2020, replacing the white and blue that FC Mulhouse had worn for decades. The rivalry with Strasbourg, the derby alsacien, still gives the fixture list its sharpest edge.
