Peristeri BC

It lost the Greek Super Cup final in 2019–20 and the Greek Cup final in 2022–23, and it has never won the Greek Basket League or the domestic cup outright, which makes what happened in Europe in 2023–24 stand out all the more: Peristeri reached the Final Four of the FIBA Champions League, fell to Tenerife in the semi-final, then lost the bronze-medal game to UCAM Murcia.

Its colours have stayed yellow and blue since it was founded in Peristeri in 1971.

Home games are played at the Peristeri Indoor Hall Andreas Papandreou, a modest ground holding 3,000, hardly the scale of the run the team produced on the continental stage. That mismatch between the size of the arena and the size of the 2023–24 European campaign is what defines the club at street level.

Domestically, the target stays the same one that has eluded it for over five decades — a first Greek Basket League title or Greek Cup, with the near-misses in the Super Cup and Cup finals showing the club keeps arriving at the last step without yet clearing it.
