Jamsil Arena
Seoul, South Korea
The Jamsil Arena occupies a distinct position within the Jamsil Sports Complex. While the complex hosts the baseball team and a stadium for athletics, this building is defined by its interior. The wooden parquet floor, not a grass pitch, dictates the rhythm of the games played here.
The primary tenants are the Seoul Samsung Thunders, who have claimed this home court for the Korean Basketball League (KBL) since the turn of the millennium. The arena frequently hosts major concerts and esports finals.
Visitors arrive at 25 Olympic-ro in the Songpa-gu district. It is easy to confuse the Jamsil Arena with the outdoor stadium nearby, which features a natural grass surface.
