Nîmes

The rink that opened in Nîmes in December 2017 holds 300 seats, and it exists because a fire destroyed the old one. The earlier club, which had played from 1972, went out of existence in 2004 when that ice was lost. For thirteen years the city had no hockey. When the new Patinoire de Nîmes opened, the ice hockey section of Kroko Sports was re-established there, with Raphaël Facchini as head coach and sporting director.

The section shared its home with roller hockey until 2022, when the Nîmes Hockey Club was set up as a separate body. Its colours are black, bronze and green, and its nickname is Les Krokos. It plays in Division 3, the fourth tier of French ice hockey.

It has more than 240 licensed players and a sport-études programme run with local schools, among them the Alzon establishment. Goalie Clovis Roure and defenceman Simon Dentroux are the names coming through.

In the 2025/2026 French Cup it reached the first round and lost 1-13 to Roanne HC. That season went better in the league. The forward Émile Plante, a Canadian, finished as top scorer, and in March 2026 Nîmes qualified for the Division 3 promotion playoffs. The American Cary Stearns, signed in 2023, had his contract extended that year.
