Brno and Liberec share points in goalless draw
Artista Brno and Slovan Liberec played out a 0:0 draw at Stadion SK Lišen in the Czech League regular season. By then the visitors had already collected six wins from nine fixtures, so a point was acceptable. The hosts, fourteenth on five points, had won three of their last five before this encounter.
Lukáš Mašek thought he had given Slovan the lead on ten minutes, but the goal was cancelled by VAR. And here's the thing — the replay showed the ball had crossed the line, but the offside flag had been raised first. El Hadji Latyr Ndiaye went off at half-time, replaced by Petr Juliš, so the home side shuffled their back line.
Neither side created a big chance all afternoon. Brno had two shots on target against four off target, while Liberec managed just one on target from seven attempts. The visitors pressed higher up the pitch but couldn't get over the line, and the home goalkeeper made only a single save.

The academy graduate marked his first start with a goal in their previous win, but today he couldn't find the same rhythm.
Brno kept 54 per cent of possession but failed to turn it into meaningful attacks. They completed 309 passes out of 410, yet their shots accuracy was just 22 per cent. Liberec were second to everything in the final third, completing only 13 of 51 long passes.
The draw brought them together early in the standings conversation, though the gap remains wide. Slovan sit second on twenty points with one defeat from nine games, while Artista Brno have not won since their match against Uherský Brod in August.
