About the player
Alfie Bavidge's 93rd-minute winner against Dumbarton in March 2025 came in the middle of a short but productive spell at Inverness Caledonian Thistle. He had arrived on loan from Aberdeen in January that year. In ten league appearances he scored six goals, before a hamstring injury ended his season early. His fellow League One players still voted him into the PFA Scotland League One Team of the Season for 2024–25.
Bavidge is from Aberdeen and came through the club's academy, which he joined at under-10 level after starting at Dyce Boys Club. His senior debut came on 4 February 2023, as a substitute in a 3–1 Scottish Premiership win against Motherwell. He made five appearances for the first team in all and did not score.
Regular football came through loans. At Kelty Hearts in League One he played 25 league games and scored nine goals. Ayr United followed in the Championship, where he scored twice in 15 league appearances. Both goals came against Falkirk on 14 December 2024.
Inverness then brought him back for the whole of the 2025–26 season. He played 36 league games and scored ten goals. In June 2026 he signed for a third consecutive season on loan at the club.
