Liam Sole

Liam Sole was on the pitch when Maidstone United knocked Ipswich Town out of the FA Cup in January 2024. He started that tie, set up a goal and was substituted in the 59th minute. Maidstone finished that season with the Kent Senior Cup as well, and Sole had arrived only in November 2023, on a free transfer.

Milton Keynes Dons let him go in July 2018, after loan spells at Hampton & Richmond Borough and St Albans City. Nottingham Forest took him on the following year and he played for their Under-23s, but he was released in July 2020. He then went back to St Albans City on a permanent basis, and stayed until 2023.

Livingston signed him on a free transfer in May 2024. In his first season in Scotland he was part of the squad that won the Scottish Challenge Cup, beating Queen's Park 5–0 in the final on 30 March 2025.

In July 2025 Livingston loaned him to Inverness Caledonian Thistle, initially until the end of the 2025–26 season. He made 28 league appearances there and scored four goals. When his Livingston contract expired in May 2026, Inverness signed him on a one-year permanent deal in June.

Across his senior career Sole has made 127 league appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists. He has not been capped by England at senior level.
