About the player
He worked his way through the age groups there and signed his first professional contract with the club in August 2018.
That chance came in April 2021, away to Fatih Karagümrük, and Özçimen marked his Süper Lig debut by saving a penalty. Recent reports say he has since returned to his parent club.
Özçimen has represented Turkey at every youth level from Under-14 to Under-21, without adding a senior cap. In September 2024 it emerged that he had applied for a Bulgarian passport through his family background and said he would be open to playing for Bulgaria instead.
