About the player
Alfonso Pastor's first taste of Sevilla's first team came in an emergency. On 2 December 2020, with Tomáš Vaclík injured and Bono sidelined by a positive COVID-19 test, he was thrown into a Champions League start against Chelsea, a match Sevilla lost 4-0. It remained his only senior appearance for the club he had joined as a youth player after coming through Bujalance's own AD FB and Séneca CF sides before Sevilla's academy took him on. His registration with the first team stretched from 2020 to 2024. During that spell he was part of the squad that won the 2019-20 UEFA Europa League, though he did not feature in the final.
A loan to CD Castellón in August 2022 gave him a steadier run of football, 34 appearances over the season. He moved on to Levante UD in January 2024, starting out with the reserves before joining the first team and signing a contract extension to 2026. He made one official appearance for the club, but was on the books when Levante won the Segunda División in 2024-25 and sealed promotion to La Liga with a 1-0 win over SD Eibar. He left Levante by mutual agreement in September 2025.
A free transfer took him to Rio Ave FC that same month, though he did not make a single appearance during his time in Portugal. He moved again in February 2026, joining C.S. Marítimo on a free transfer until the middle of 2027, and has made one appearance for the club so far. Earlier in his career, he was capped once by Spain's under-17s, reaching the final of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
