About the player
Amandyk Nabikhanov's only senior cap so far came in a friendly against North Korea on 17 February 2025. Kazakhstan lost 0-2. It was his debut for the national side, and he has not played for any Kazakhstan youth team.
His route there began in Aktau, where he was born and where he started his professional career with Kaspiy in 2019. That first season was a quiet one for him personally: a single appearance in the First League. The club, though, finished second and won promotion to the Premier League.
Kaspiy took him with them into the top flight, and he became a regular. He made 18 league appearances in 2020 and 23 in 2021, a step from one game in the second tier to a place in the Premier League squad within two seasons.
In early 2022 he moved to Atyrau. He played 18 Premier League matches there in his first year and 10 in 2023. Those numbers show a busy first season in a new city and a smaller role the year after.
He has spent most of his career in Kazakhstan's top two divisions, and the international debut against North Korea remains the one entry in his national-team record.
